Our rich breakfast buffet at the guesthouse is a true delight for the taste buds! Enjoy a variety of regional delicacies and carefully selected products that will start your day perfectly. Our breakfast buffet is available from 7:30 am to 9:30 am.

In our guesthouse, breakfast is not just a meal, it's a moment of delight. Start your day with a well-assorted bread selection from a renowned bakery in Merano, and accompany your breakfast with homemade jams and refreshing apple juice from the brand "Roter Hahn". Free-range boiled eggs will give you energy for the day, as will freshly cut fruits and vegetables. Discover the variety of our carefully selected cheese and taste fine cold cuts. For a natural start to the day, we also offer a selection of cereal ingredients with which you can create your own personalized cereal. Your breakfast experience is rounded off with homemade cakes and fruit slices promising sweet indulgence.

Grandma’s Linzer Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 200 g sugar
  • 250 g soft butter
  • 200 g flour
  • 5 g baking powder
  • 100 g grated nuts
  • Lingonberry jam
  • Cinnamon / vanilla
  • Lemon zest

Preparation:

  1. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy, then add the eggs.
  2. Mix the flour, nuts, baking powder, and spices, and fold into the butter-egg mixture.
  3. Spread the dough into a buttered baking tray, cover with jam, and finally create a lattice pattern on the jam with some remaining dough. This works best using a piping bag.
  4. Bake at 170°C (fan oven) for about 40–50 minutes. After cooling, dust the cake with powdered sugar and serve.

Chocolate Brownie

Ingredients:

  • 6 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 300 g butter
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 85 g flour
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 195 g brown sugar (cane sugar)
  • 75 g honey
  • Orange zest

Preparation:

  1. Beat the eggs, sugar, brown sugar, and honey until creamy.
  2. Melt the chocolate with the butter in a water bath.
  3. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, and lemon zest.
  4. Add the chocolate-butter mixture to the beaten eggs, then fold in the flour mixture last.
  5. Pour everything into a buttered baking tray and bake at 200°C (fan oven) for 15–20 minutes, until the batter has risen slightly.
  6. It is recommended to chill the brownie overnight in the refrigerator and enjoy it with whipped cream.

Lemon Cake

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 230 g sugar
  • 230 g soft butter
  • 230 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Zest of one lemon
  • A pinch of salt
  • Some vanilla sugar

Preparation:

  1. Cream the butter and sugar in a mixer.
  2. Gradually add the eggs, salt, and vanilla sugar.
  3. Mix the flour and baking powder, then fold into the batter.
  4. Pour into a buttered baking tray and bake at 170°C (fan oven) for 30–40 minutes.
  5. After cooling, drizzle a firm glaze made from powdered sugar and lemon juice over the cake.
